New Tool: Microplane 2″ Rotary Shaper

I just received a rotary shaper in the mail. I’ll be using it to clean up the rough cuts on the portholes. Not sure if this is the right tool, but it has to better than what I have tried so far.
I was working with a Porter Cable Router with a trim bit. After just a few seconds the bearing was caught when the router tipped with the angle of the boat and flew off into space. I also tried a Microplane attachment on my grinder. It worked reasonably, but the cut was too aggressive for the plywood and I ended up chipping material I wish I hadn’t.
I’ll chuck the Microplane into my drill and give it a spin.
