Last week I build the armature to hold mid-ship upright while it will also starting the foundation for the first scaffolding element. I’ll need the scaffolding to walk around the boat while planking/stripping.
The armature provided a nice ledge to lift the mid-ship piece onto. This provided a key to a good fit with the hemisphere piece. So… mid-ship element #1… lifted it to a standing position, then rolled it to the armature. That was much easier than I expected.
I had some help from Peter to lift it onto the armature, and then sliding it in place was very easy.
Looks good.
Next step is sanding and then epoxy the two pieces together with lots of clamps, screws and bolts.
