Cutting my first test on the Shopbot

The people at the Tech Shop were extremely helpful, which was fortunate because going from 2d Illustrator files to cutting on the CNC machine is not as easy as it should be.

The steps to get there seam very logical, but the software has its own issues. Like any system, people who have used it have figured out which hoops to jump through and which ones to avoid. For me, lots of learning ahead.

Luckily, with 1 hour left of my 4 hour time slot I received some extra help and was able to cut my test on 1/2 inch birch veneer ply. Looks pretty good, but I will have a good amount of cleanup to do at home.
